As of the 25th May 2018 a new EU regulation called the General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR came into effect.
You as the customer have the right to control your data and what I, Kay Coe owner of Little Beauty Room can do with it.
This Privacy Policy is to ensure you are fully aware of what data is collected, how your data is used and why.
What personal data do I collect?
I hold your contact details which include your name, address, birth date, telephone number and email address, and any medical conditions which include allergies, surgeries, illnesses and medications that you have notified me about.
Why do I collect it and how do I use it?
As a beauty and massage therapist I collect your contact details for appointment purposes. I may use your contact details to update you regarding appointment availability, special offers and news regarding Little Beauty Room.
I hold your medical information so that if you should become ill whilst in my care, I can take appropriate action. I may also need to review the information you have provided in order to determine if there is any medical reason why a treatment cannot be carried out.
How is your data stored?
Your data is stored on paper and also electronically on my phone. Paper copies are stored in a lockable box and my phone is password protected.
Who will I share your data with?
Your data will not be shared with a third party unless express prior consent is given by you. If in the event you become ill and an emergency service is required, I may need to share any relevant medical information.
How can your data be deleted?
Your paper-based data can either be given to you or shredded should you request it. You may also request that any electronic data held on my phone is deleted.
How long will I hold your data?
Your data will be kept for 7 years from your last treatment.
